New Japanese Cafe that recently opened at Met Live Mall, Manila.

The full glass storefront, as well as the lighting design, gives the place a bright and spacious interior. As you enter, you will see the long led chair with a patterned and decorative Japanese cushion. This contrasts well with white chairs and tables.

Kyoto Chaya serves up delicious bites with a focus on “Undiscovered Taste of Japan”.

We first started with Tea drinks. Mine was Frappe called Houjicha Milk. It’s good very refreshing and quickly becoming my top favorite tea drink. Their tea leaves are organic and imported from Kyoto Japan where it is originated. If you are a fan of tea, this is the perfect place for you!

Next to arrive at our table was Sweet Potato Cheese Korokke, filled with ooey-gooey Mozzarella Cheddar.

Gyu Kushi and Takoyaki are undeniably tasty and by far the best I’ve had. We also got served pretty good Sandwich called Katsu Sando with Kyuri (Japanese Cucumber).

If you’re watching your carb intake but missing the pasta, try their Shirataki Pasta. They were delicious and healthy. Rich in fiber, No carb, no-cal and gluten-free. We tried 3 different Shirataki Pasta but the one in Mentaiko Cream Sauce sprinkled with parmesan cheese is the bomb!

  • Mentaiko Cream Sauce
  • Tomato Bacon & Eggplant

If you happen to be in the area and want something light and healthy to eat, you know where to go! It’s really nice to eat somewhere different from the cafe we quite often go to.

Thank you Zomato Ph and Kyoto Chaya!
